Jesus Forgives Sins and Heals a Man Stricken with Palsy

Jesus Forgives Sins and Heals a Man Stricken with Palsy:

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Who is Jesus? People have asked this question for over 2000 years

Who is Jesus? People have asked this question for over 2000 years. Many people hold various opinions about who this man was. But what does the Bible say?

The Bible tells us that Jesus was more than a historical figure or religious revolutionary. He was the true God. He was also a real man. Jesus Christ died for the sins of all mankind, yet He rose from death and still lives today. He is the Savior. He is God with us. And He is waiting for you to open your heart to Him.

Welcome to Lakshadweep

Welcome to Lakshadweep

The islands

Located just off Kerala's stretching coastline in the west, the Lakshadweep islands lie north of the Maldives.

At the southernmost atoll of the archipelago, lies Minicoy, roughly translating to mean "The King of Islands" – aptly named, given its placid, shimmering lagoons, white, virgin beaches and the wealth of coral and big game that you're likely to spot here -- mantas, rays, sea turtles, eels, sharks, wild dolphins... who's lusting already?

There is also Agatti, which houses an airstrip; Amini, densely populated with locals, fishermen and islanders; pristine Bangaram (among the largest of these islands, populated more by turtles than it is by people) and Thinnakara beside it; plus Kadmat, Kavaratti, Kiltan, Kalpeni, Andrott, Bitra, Chetlat and Cheriyam.

Only 10 of these islands are occupied by islanders, and even Indian nationals need special permits in order to visit most of them. The reasons cited include conservation, the preservation of indigenous cultures and the fact that these islands are now a strategic outpost for the Indian Navy.

Located at the southernmost point of the Lakshadweep islands, Minicoy Islands are often called Malikau by the locals. "Ooty" A Queen Of Hill Stations: Part-2

Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is a hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. Surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. On the slopes of nearby Elk Hill, the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses. The Government Botanical Garden, created in the 19th century, features ferns, orchids and a prehistoric, fossilized tree. Now We continue what are the other places to visit in ooty.

3.Avalanche Lake:

The reason I came to ooty was to actually visit the aforementioned Doddabetta peak but wasn’t quite satisfied with amount of indulgence I was seeking with the nature. Although It was suggested by a local there and wasn’t on my itinerary, this place made me love my visit to ooty. Located in the heart of the Nilgiris 28 kilometers from ooty, Avalanche lake is certainly a wanderer’s haven. The surrounding landscape is simply mesmerizing. You can camp beside the lake in tents and enjoy trout fishing. There’s also a hatchery located nearby where you can get the fishing rod and other fishing equipment at. It’s an amazing trek location that made me stay here for 2 days at this place. The place derives its name from a landslide that occurred sometime in the early 1800’s.

4.Pykara River:

Known as a sacred place for the Toda people, Pykara River flows through the plateau and form several cascades and waterfalls. The Pykara falls are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ooty and are famous for the shola trees, Toda settlements and wildlife.
5.Mudumalai National Park:

Also known as a famous Tiger Reserve, the Mudumalai National Park is a home to several wildlife and bird species. The Bengal Tiger, Leopards, Indian Bison, Asiatic Elephants and several other rare species of birds and animals can be found here.

06. Toda Huts:

The last remaining bastions of the Todas, the huts are located by the Ooty Botanical Gardens. Although several Toda people have abandoned these huts in the recent years, these remain one of the most interesting specimens of Ethnic architecture of southern India.

07. Deer Park:

Located by the Ooty Lake, the deer park is one of the few high altitude zoos in India. The visitors get to view a variety of different deer species along with other rare animals and birds.

While I wasn’t very excited to visit ooty in the first place, as I wanted to visit more beach destinations but this particular trip made me change my mind about hill stations. There is a lot to explore in this amazingly located south Indian hill station and is indeed a wanderer’s haven.

"Ooty" A Queen Of Hill Stations: Part-1

Ooty It is a wonderful hill station and a popular getaway destination from Chennai or Bangalore. It is not a very expensive city.

‘The blue mountains’ are the major responsible factor for this town’s popularity. The blue misty haze off the eucalyptus trees that cover the area are considered the reason behind its name, many different possible sources may exist however. In this article I have tried to list out the places you “must visit” in Ooty, especially when you’re on a short time schedule.

1. Botanical Gardens:

Laid out in 1848, the government Botanical Gardens is located at the slopes of the Doddabetta peak. The terraced garden is maintained by the Tamil nadu horticultural society and covers an area of 22 hectares. The best time to visit the place is anytime except the monsoons. Now this place will be the first thing the people would mention when you visit ooty, and well, in my opinion it is pretty awesome. Now be prepared for a long walk when you visit this place, I would advise you not to get any kids or people who can’t walk for long. The place is amazing for photographers and casual visitors alike get a supply of food and drinks or you can also buy some snacks at the gardens. I visited this place because of my photographer friends and was totally amazed due to the amount of greens and flowers around me under an amazingly cool weather.

2. Doddabetta Peak:

A visit to Doddabetta Peak was the reason I went to Ooty in the first place. I had heard a lot about the picturesque Nilgiris and the amazing views this place has to offer. The place stands at a height of around 8,650 feet and makes it the highest peaks in south India. This place offers amazing trek spots and plenty of quiet and picturesque locations to solitary wanderers like me. You might want to pack some really good pair of binoculars when you reach this place to enjoy it to the fullest. There is a small eatery placed here courtesy of the tourism department of Tamil nadu that offers some okay tasting food at a cheap price.

To be continue in next post........
